Future Programming
INSPIRY X conventions are named with themes to assist artists with a starting point for their original characters if they need inspiration. Aligning your characters to the theme is not required and is only intended as a way to get the ideas flowing.
INSPIRY X competitions are also named to mirror the purpose of the event.
While our future purpose is to focus on original storytelling we have created events that are fandom focused, but still align with creating a new story.

INSPIRY X PROVENANCE 2027
PROVENANCE is the headline competition at INSPIRY X, designed for cosplayers/costumers ready to break new ground in original character design, storytelling, and engineering.
This is where cosplayers compete for our highest-value commission prize. To enter, you’ll create an original character with a functional “mechanism”, defined as a series of parts working together to create a meaningful effect or function that enhances your story.
Must be 16+ to compete. Parental or legal guardian consent required for minors.
INSPIRY X COLLIDER 2027
COLLIDER is our fandom cosplay competition that celebrates creative mashups of two or more established characters. It’s all about imagination, skill, and having fun, without the pressure of a commission prize.
Because this event involves existing IPs, it’s not commission eligible, but the rewards still bring serious value: the winner receives two instant VIP upgrades and two VIP passes for the next INSPIRY X convention.
Open to ages 16+. (VIP RSVPs required for next event)
INSPIRY X IGNITE 2027
IGNITE is our dedicated competition for creators ages 13 -15, welcoming both original characters and fan favorites. It’s the perfect entry point for young talent ready to level up their skills and creativity.
The winner receives two instant VIP upgrades and two VIP registrations for the next INSPIRY X event.
The full intent for IGNITE is to establish a college grant as the prize, encouraging continued education is very important to the INSPIRY X Owner/CEO.

INSPIRY X GUILD 2028
GUILD is a team based competition for creators 16 years of age and up, featuring three original character cosplays from the same original story. Each team works together to bring their shared universe to life through design, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
This event was designed for cosplayers that don’t want to compete solo. Networking and building community is a common challenge for cosplayers; this event is meant to create a reason for cosplayers to seek each other out.
The winners receive three instant VIP upgrades and three VIP registrations for the next INSPIRY X event. (This event is ear-marked for commission upgrade at a future date if the required funding is raised from previous conventions.)
INSPIRY X NOVELLA 2028
NOVELLA is an independent short film competition focused on original character cosplays and storytelling. The Top 10 entries will premiere at INSPIRY X with private VIP screenings on Friday, followed by general audience showings on Saturday.
NOVELLA was created for cosplayers and indie filmmakers to collaborate on short films to bring the characters and their stories to life. Small films are now competing with multi-million dollar franchises, but they still need investment captial. That’s where the commission comes into the picture.
The amount of funding we will be able to provide will be directly tied to the success of the previous convention.

INSPIRY X PHANTASM 2028
PHANTASM is a 1:6 scale (12 inches by 12 inches is the design area) 3D printed original character competition for 3D modeling artists. Prejudging takes place on Friday, with the Top 30 finalists featured in a public display for guest voting on Saturday. The winner will be announced Saturday evening.
This is a commission prize event. Our intent is to provide a way for artists to test their characters in front of a live audience. Production of designer toys is expensive, PHANTASM is meant to help designers guage interest before committing to financial investment.

INSPIRY X ODYSSEY 2029
ODYSSEY is a curated exhibition celebrating original storytelling through self-published works. This interactive showcase highlights the creativity and resilience of independent authors and artists.
While not a commission prize event, selected creators will receive service-in-kind commercial exhibit space in the main exhibit hall, designed to elevate visibility and support your publishing journey.
Submission window opens 180 days before the event. Final notifications will be sent no later than 60 days out.

INSPIRY X PROSPECT 2029
PROSPECT challenges 2D artists to showcase originality, consistency, and storytelling through detailed character design. Entries must include full turnarounds, expression grid, and visual cohesion.
Prejudging takes place Friday.
The Top 30 finalists will be exhibited for public guest voting on Saturday, with the winner announced that evening.
PROSPECT is a commission prize event, designed to spotlight artists ready to take the next step toward professional work.

INSPIRY X FABLE THREAD 2029
FABLE THREAD is where fashion meets original storytelling. Designers will debut a one-of-a-kind, red carpet showpiece that brings their character’s story to life.
This is not ready-to-wear. This is imagination in fabric.
Submissions are judged on originality, construction, and narrative impact, not commercial viability.
INSPIRY X Dress Code Policy applies, and designers are encouraged to review it before beginning their work.
Prejudging is Friday.
The Top 20 finalists will walk the INSPIRY X runway on Saturday.
FABLE THREAD is our second most complex event and will evolve into its own dedicated commissioning program.

INSPIRY X BUSINESS CENTER 2026
The INSPIRY X BUSINESS CENTER is here to help creators take their craft to the next level.
Through partnerships with experienced small business service providers and subject matter experts, we offer free education and practical guidance tailored to artists, guests, and commissioned creators.
As INSPIRY X grows, so will the Business Center, expanding into panels, seminars, and workshops focused on entrepreneurship, marketing, and creative business strategy.
Whether you're just getting started or ready to scale, the Business Center is your resource for turning artistic talent into a sustainable small business.
Additional Events are supplemental activities currently in development. These events will be presented to the community for voting, allowing attendees to help decide which will be added to the official INSPIRY X competitive lineup. Your voice helps shape the future of INSPIRY X.
INSPIRY X GENESIS
GENESIS is a competition focused on original character environmental design for Virtual Reality. Environments are a core part of storytelling and character development, and GENESIS gives artists the chance to bring those worlds to life.
This event requires collaboration between creators and VR technology partners to develop immersive experiences based on original stories submitted through INSPIRY X competitions. Submissions don’t have to be finalists or winners, GENESIS is about pushing boundaries and building creative networks that move storytelling into new dimensions.

INSPIRY X ARCADE
ARCADE is an indie game developer showcase designed to connect small studios with artists and storytellers. As technology continues to lower the barrier of entry into the gaming industry, ARCADE provides a platform for developers to demo their games, share original stories, and build collaborative teams.
ARCADE will transition to a commission prize event.

INSPIRY X MAESTRO
MAESTRO is our dedicated off-season masterclass workshop, built for creators who are serious about leveling up their craft. This focused event will feature guest appearances, hands-on sessions, and deep dives into all core INSPIRY X competitive categories.
MAESTRO also includes programming centered on small business development, providing practical tools for turning creative passion into a sustainable business.
INSPIRY X COREOGRAFIA
COREOGRAFIA is a team-based dance competition where storytelling takes the stage through movement. Each team will consist of five members, and performances must creatively express original narratives.
While dance may seem like a stretch from our core creative competitions, let’s be honest, people want to dance, and we’re here for it. COREOGRAFIA adds high-energy entertainment to the INSPIRY X experience without losing sight of our storytelling foundation.
This is a non-commission prize event. The winning team will receive immediate VIP pass upgrades and VIP pass registration for the next INSPIRY X event.

INSPIRY X SHOWCASE
SHOWCASE is the official display gallery for all INSPIRY X commissioned works. It marks the beginning of our CEO Direct Commissioning Program and the awarding of our very first prize commissions.
This space is dedicated to highlighting the exceptional talent within our community, bringing attention to the artists who’ve turned their originality, effort, and vision into professional creative opportunities.
